GENERAL RULES & POLICIES
O'Connell's Jellystone Park RV Resort is a family oriented park and we expect our guests to respect the family environment we like to maintain. The following rules and policies have been established to provide guidelines for all of our guests to enjoy the park together. Please consider the safety and comfort of everyone while you have a fun time.
Park Utilization:
- Every guest must register with the front office. Day visitors, daily campers and friends must stop and register before entering the park.
- All vehicles must display a car tag; stickers for annual guests and rearview mirror cards for our daily registrants.
- Speed Limit is 10 MPH on the park. Licensed Drivers ONLY may operate a vehicle or golf cart (driver permits are NOT allowed).
- Golf carts must meet standards (golf course approved with headlights, tail lights and a working horn). All other vehicles must be licensed for street use.
- RADIOS: in cars or at sites should be at a volume you can enjoy it, but your neighbors do not have to.
- After 7:00 PM please take your trash to the nearest dumpster. Before 7:00 PM you may leave your bagged trash at the roadside in front of your site for pick up.
- Shirts and shoes in all public buildings please.
- Respect other campers. Please do not travel through campsites on the way to the washrooms or other areas of the park.
Pets: We are a pet friendly resort as we realize they are members of your family. As a member of your family however you have the same responsibility you would have to a child including maintaining their supervision, good manners and respect for other campers . Additionally the following rules apply to your pet:
- Scoop the Poop
- Pets must be leashed (maximum 6 foot length approved) at all times- no exceptions!
- Pets are not allowed in any Public Building, Rental Unit or swim area
- Sorry, we know that all situations can't be controlled but any aggresive behavior demonstrated by your pet will result in being asked to leave.
Campsite Usage:
- Daily Check in time is 3:00 PM for campsites and 4:00 PM for rental units.
- Check out time is 1:00 PM daily/ 3:00 PM Sundays for campsites and 11:00 AM for Rental Units.
- Do Not attach ropes or drive nails into any trees. No cutting of any standing trees.
- Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Sound travels well so radios should be turned off and voices kept to a whisper. No generators or vehicle traffic during quiet hours.
- Under age campers (17 & under) are expected to be at their campsites under adult supervision or escorted by an adult.
- CAMPFIRES are part of the camping experience. All fires must be of reasonable size so as to not to endanger anyone or anything. Please use existing fire scars and extinguish your fire completely.
- Outside firewood is not allowed to be brought onto the property.
Pools, Waterslide and Beach
- Proper swim attire is required at our pools and waterslide. No undergarments, cut-offs or street clothes.
- Hours of use are posted.
- Riding the waterslide requires a minimum height of 48 inches in barefeet.
- Ages 16 and under must be supervised by an adult at any swim area. (No lifeguards on duty)
SMOKE FREE ILLINOIS. Our campground follows the State of Illinois smoke free policy that was enacted on January 1, 2008 that prohibits smoking within 15' from any public entrance or in any public building.
LITTER: Please help keep our park beautiful. Please do not litter and please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.
Most people have good common sense and respect for others. If you do not, remember that we enforce our rules to protect our campers and our park. Management reserves the right to evict, at our discretion and without refund, any person whose conduct is objectionable or violates parks rules.
Entrance on to the campground property constitutes permission for the management of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-resort in Amboy, Illinois to photograph the visitor while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor.
The guest assumes all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in a rustic outdoors environment including specifically (but not exclusively), the danger of being injured by insects or animals in their natural habitat, of being injured while participating in recreational activities, such as hiking, swimming, or boating at the Camp-Resort or of being injured as a result of severe or inclement weather conditions, and agrees that the Camp-Resort and its owners, agents and employees are not liable for injuries or proerty damages resulting from such causes.
